What does the test include?

Leave the organic chemistry to us!  Easy Organic partners with a professional lab to provide accurate results for all types of soils, including gardens, grass and lawns.  Our soil test will measure of all the key NPK nutrients and materials in your soil.  Getting your soil pH tested is critical for the many plants that have specific soil pH needs (acidic soil, for example).  So the Easy Organic soil test also includes this as part of the analysis.  Also, unlike many tests that only provide the mineral content of the soil, our test includes Organic Matter and CEC (Cation exchange capacity) to more thoroughly identify the needs of your soil.

  • Soil pH
  • Organic Matter
  • Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) – measures soil’s ability to hold onto essential nutrients and its protection against acidification. Soils with a low CEC are more likely to develop deficiencies in potassium (K+), magnesium (Mg2+)
  • Minerals
    • Phosphorus (P)
    • Potassium (K)
    • Calcium (Ca)

Soil testing is the agronomist’s or horticulturalist's map to supplying the best blended fertilizer for your soil type and condition and specific crops. Soil samples should be a true representation of the area sampled; results will reflect only the nutrient status of the sample provided.
